2007 Texas State & District 8 Tournament
The Texas Tournament will be held June 15th & 16th (Friday & Saturday) at the Super 8 Motel in McKinney, Texas. The motel is located on Highway 75 (North Central Expressway), about 30 miles North of Dallas, Texas.
There will be 10 rooms for checker players and/or family. The rooms will be $55.00 The rooms will have two queen beds. Ask for the "Checker Player" rate. The reservation phone number is 972-548-8880. Check out time is 11:00am. The conference room at the motel is being remodeled. Therefore, arrangements have been made to have the tournament at the Hillcrest Christian Church, 509 South Graves Street in McKinney. The phone number there is 972-542-6070. A map will be available at the motel desk. The tournament will begin at 4:00 pm Friday afternoon, June 15th. Registration will begin at 2:00 pm and a short business meeting will be held at 3:00 pm. Play will resume at 8:00 am Saturday morning and continue as long as needed. A total of 7 rounds or 14 games will be played. The entry fee will be $20.00 - ACF membership is $25.00.
